The Round-the-clock is now a single origin coffee that will rotate as we go through various lots from small producers. The profile will remain very similar from lot to lot and will always feel nutty and chocolaty.
It's a classic everyone can enjoy: perfect for milky drinks, and the black brews will for sure wake you up! It's perfect for automatic machines, with or without integrated grinders, or even pre-ground.
We made this coffee so you can easily enjoy a great cup at home with any set up.

(We will soon feature the RTC beans as a light roast as well as it'll allow us to increase our purchasing volume with small holder farmers.)

Some information about Luis and the Cafe Colis Resistancia group:

For a second year in a row, we are thrilled to bring this important coffee. This lot from producer Luis Roldan is not just a delicious coffee, it is much more than that.

Luis, an agricultural engineer by trade, is a new member of the Semilla network. It's the second time he sells internationally, and just like like year, we bought all of his production.

Luis is an active and well respected leader of the Cafe Colis Resistencia, a producing group from the Indigenous Xinka community around Mataquescuintla, Guatemala.
They are interested in developing an international market for their coffee, and
therefore finally receiving fair prices for their work.

The group is opposing the exploitation of the Escobal silver mine, owned by Vancouver-based Pan American silver. This Canadian company wants to go ahead and exploit the mine on Indigenous land despite being in contravention of the United Nations Declarations of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

We are proud to join Semilla in their efforts to stand on the side of Indigenous sovereignty and landing our support for this producing group. Not only does Semilla buy the coffees at solid prices, they also lend their voices as Canadians against this illegal extractive project.


Our darkest coffee is the perfect classic espresso for home. Chocolaty, nutty and full of caramel notes, it has a bold taste many don't associate with specialty coffee.
It's perfect for milk drink and it'll for sure wake you up as a black coffee!

Even though it's designed with espresso in mind, you can enjoy it as a stove top espresso, French press, and more!

Last harvest was the first time Luis sold his coffee internationally and we bought 100% of his export volume (14bags of 69 kg).
After this first purchase, both because the coffee is very good and serves a purpose beyond the cup, we committed to buying all his available coffee for export again, before the harvest even began.
This means that we have 21 bags of 2 varietals: 12 of this red caturra (that will be available as a light roast son) and 9 yellow catuai.
Our commitment to Luis, Semilla and the Cafe Colis Resistencia group will remain and we hope that working closely together, we can import 30-40 bags from Luis next harvest.

Price we paid Semilla for the landed coffee in our Montreal warehouse: 5.05USD/lb (+0,30$ in shipping)

FOB price: 3,38USD/lb

Farmgate price: 1750 Quetzal/quintal, 1 quintal being around 100kg of parchment (parchment means the green bean is still not exposed)
National price: 1400-1500 Quetzal
