Partner importer: Semilla Coffee (via Monkaaba, a collective of farmers whose goal is to assist other growers in the area to not only find a better market for their coffee, one that pays a solid price, but also to invest in the knowledge and skill of producers in a way that ensures their future success.)
Angel Ortega is an important member of Monkaaba, both in terms or leadership and coffee quality. Gesha is only one of the many variety he cultivates masterfully, other including caturra an pink bourbon. Cherries are collected every twenty days and are depulped the same day. The depulped seeds are then left to ferment for 40 hours in a tile tank with passion fruit peel, before being dried in a raised dryer for 18-20 days.

If you are a fan of Kenyan coffees, this gesha from Colombia reminded us of our favorite notes from this African origin.
The coffee is beautiful, with a ton of blackberry and dark chocolate notes, making the coffee velvety and almost decadent. We also had notes of pears.
The coffee is complex and we are sure you will experience it in your own way.
